No. A migration copies your existing mail, contacts and calendars across to the new platform, your current mailbox stays in place until the move is verified. We only switch over once everything has transferred and been checked.
It depends on the number of mailboxes and how much mail each one holds. Most small business migrations are completed within a few days, with the actual cutover scheduled to cause as little disruption as possible. We’ll give you a clear timeline as part of the quote.
The aim is no meaningful downtime. Mail is transferred in the background while everyone keeps working. The final cutover is usually scheduled for a quiet period, and we help reconfigure Outlook and mobile devices so your team is ready on the new platform.
Yes. We manage the MX, autodiscover and related DNS records, and configure the new environment with a sensible security baseline, including multi-factor authentication, so the platform is protected from day one.
Migrations are quoted as a project. The cost depends mainly on the number of mailboxes, the source and destination platforms, and any extras such as shared mailboxes or archive data. We’ll give you a clear, itemised quote before any work begins. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace licensing is billed separately by the provider.
