AI Advisory for NZ business

Use AI in your business, safely and profitably

Your team is probably already using AI. The question is whether it is helping your business or quietly putting your data at risk. We help you use AI safely and profitably, starting from wherever you are today.

Our approach
1

See it

Find where AI is already being used in your business.

2

Set the rules

Agree simple, clear guardrails for your team.

3

Enable it

Turn on AI in tools you already pay for, set up properly.

4

Automate it

Hand the repetitive work to AI, with a person checking the output.

Why this matters

Most businesses are already using AI. Most are not managing it.

AI has arrived through the side door. Staff use personal accounts to write emails, summarise documents and answer customer questions, often pasting in business information without anyone deciding whether that is safe. This is shadow AI, and it is the gap most IT providers are not talking about.

Shadow AI

Staff using free personal AI tools with company data, with no record of what goes in or where it ends up.

Data leaving the building

Sensitive client and financial information typed into tools you do not control and cannot audit later.

No rules in place

No agreed policy on what AI can be used for, so every staff member is quietly making their own call.

Spend without value

Paying for AI features nobody has set up, or being sold hype that does not fit how you actually work.

How we help

A clear path, from where you are now

You do not need an AI strategy deck or a big budget. You need to know what is happening today, set sensible rules, and switch on the parts that genuinely help. We work through it in four practical steps.

01

See it

We review where AI is already in use across your team and tools, so you can make decisions based on what is actually happening, not guesswork.

02

Set the rules

We help you put a short, plain-English acceptable use policy in place, so your team knows what is fine, what is off limits, and why.

03

Enable it

We set up the AI features inside the tools you already pay for, configured with the right security and access controls from the start.

04

Automate it

We identify repetitive work worth automating, build it carefully, and keep a person reviewing the output so quality stays high.

Common questions

What business owners ask us about AI

What is shadow AI?

Shadow AI is when staff use personal AI accounts for work, often with company information, without the business knowing or approving it. It is common, and it is a security and privacy risk because you have no control over where that data goes.

Is our data safe if staff use AI?

It depends on which tools they use and how they are set up. Free personal tools usually offer no business protection. AI built into a properly configured business platform can keep your data inside your own environment. We help you tell the difference and set it up correctly.

Do we need an AI policy?

Yes. Even a one-page policy makes a real difference. It tells your team what AI can be used for, what should never go into it, and who to ask when they are unsure. We write it in plain language so people actually read and follow it.

We are not a tech company. Is AI even relevant to us?

It already is. AI is built into the everyday tools most businesses use for email, documents and customer service. The goal is not to become a tech company. It is to use what you already have, safely, and save your team time.

Where should we start?

Start by finding out what is already happening. Our AI and Security Review gives you a clear picture of current use, the risks, and a short list of practical next steps. From there you can move at a pace that suits your business.

Will you try to sell us AI we do not need?

No. We are an IT services provider, not an AI vendor. Our job is to give you honest advice on what helps your business and what to leave alone. If AI is not the answer for a particular problem, we will say so.
